Welcome to Wild Words (formerly The Content Strategist) by Kimberly Crossland. Here, you’ll learn how to share your ideas through SIMPLE content creation that lets you earn while you enjoy the slower days, the outdoor adventures, the homeschool lifestyle, the bread baking, and overall, the messy, beautiful chaos of family. Join me, and let's build home-based ventures using content that funds our lives, not consumes them.

A new (yet still the same) shift for 2025 is here!

This year, I’m taking on more of a WILD approach with this new newsletter appropriately titled, Wild Words (formerly The Content Strategist).

I’m still the same ‘ol Kimberly you’ve come to know (and hopefully love). But now, in 2025, I’m here to bring a fresh take on content creation. Instead of having a title that’s way too buttoned up for the messy ‘lil lady I am offline, I decided to shift names and honor they wild west where I live, the wildness of the Internet, and the wildly amazing lifestyle I’m using this content to create as a whole.

And, with that wild streak in mind (that’s not really all that wild in a party sense, but rather in a forget about it, we’re post it and not caring what the entire Internet thinks anymore sense), here’s what I’ll be bringing out of the vaults in a refreshed new way this year:

  1. [NEW!] A Shop: Last year, I scaled WAY back, taking everything I’d poured my heart and soul into over the years offline and unavailable for purchase. But then a strange thing happened. Over the year, several former students let me know they’re *still* using the tools I’d created. It’s time to give those tools a refresh and bring them back out into the wild for you to leverage for simpler content creation. Think systems, strategies, and AI-fueled productivity.

  2. [NEW!] Diary of a Wild Working Mom: What’s wilder than taking all of life into your own hands, including your children’s education? Okay, it’s not *that* wild, but it is the type of freedom-giving lifestyle I’ve been designing for our family for a long time — and the same freedom-giving lifestyle I want to help you decide, no matter what that looks like for you. The mom angle is a little new, and it’s come about after hearing from SO MANY other moms who want to stay at home with their kids but can’t sacrifice income or sanity to build their own business or side hustle alongside their littles. I get it. It’s taken me 13 years to design this life that lets me choose my work hours, location, and style. I will keep peeling back the layers on how I’m specifically using content to fuel this lifestyle — and, of course, how you can do the same. Not a homeschooling mom, that’s okay! In fact, most of you aren’t. This diary is meant to help you achieve whatever wild freedom you pursue by using content as the gasoline in your tank.

  3. [NEW!] Asynchronous Everything: Anyone else feeling burnt out on the Zoom calls and need to show up at a specific time? Tell me I’m not alone. While there is value in going live and being in a shared space, I’ve found that most calls are unproductive and unnecessary. This year, I’m taking on a new approach that’ll honor the people who have had to say no simply because they can’t think of adding one more thing to their already stuffed calendar and to-do list. I’ll show you how to leverage content to build a business that lets you work on your terms.

  4. The Content Club: I’m still beyond excited about the ease, simplicity, and flow I’m able to deliver inside the Content Club where I give members templates each week, monthly sprints, and quarterly content planning sprints. In fact, we just started our next content planning sprint and it’s not too late to join in!

  5. And, of course, I’ll continue emailing you with content strategy tips that align with the values shared above (a simple, easy lifestyle) while also bringing in my weekly devotional for faith-fueled entrepreneurs under this one “Kimberly” umbrella.

Fun and wild, am I right?

Hello, 2025, where we’ll be breaking the norms while simultaneously going back to what’s always worked — simple content that brings people together instead of complex funnels and overwhelming systems that look pretty on paper but feel like a nightmare when trying to implement.

It’s an absolute HONOR to show up in your inbox each week (sometimes more) and build this relationship with you through the screen. Thanks for being in my corner, and I hope that all the new and exciting things coming your way will show you just how far squeezed in your corner I am, too!

~ Kimberly

P.S. Not sure you need or want all of this? No problem! You’ll have chances to tag yourself out of certain subjects without leaving everything behind. Stick around and I promise you’ll get nuggets of wisdom that’ll make your life a heck of a lot easier as an entrepreneur.
