I’m back with another elf story. And because of that you might mistakingly think I love the elf flying around our home.

Reality: I don’t.

It turns out a lot of parents aren’t in love with this relatively new tradition. Last night, when I went to search Pinterest for elf ideas, the results were all focused on one thing: Getting the thing done fast without sticking it in the tree every night.

Easy ideas. Super easy ideas. Lazy ideas. And others I saw were, last-minute ideas. Low-cleanup ideas. Fast ideas. Parents aren’t looking to make the most Instagram-worthy elf. They just want it to be simple yet fun for their kids.

That idea of simplicity doesn’t just bubble up during elf season. It’s all seasons of life these days. Soccer season (when I almost missed picture day). Travel season when I juggle packing lists and plans. School season, where I’m now juggling curriculum and coop schedules as a homeschooling mom.

And as entrepreneurs juggling all of the logistics of parenting PLUS our business, we’re looking for even more simplicity because, frankly, it’s a lot.

Allow me to play elf one more time for you, only this time there are no antics or anything clever. It’s just straight up gift giving to help you organize your ideas going into 2025 so you can have a clearer head and, well, stay sane in your business.

A Story Stockpile Template

Two people (TWO!!) yesterday asked me how to drum up sales in their business because they were exhausted with the constant promotions. My answer? Storytelling.

Your people only become your people by letting them into your world beyond the thing you offer.

Your products have a story.

Your business has a story.

Your clients have stories.

Every day has a story that can be turned into a lesson learned or tidbit to help you see more clearly.

And while you might know that, what you might not have is a way to take those micromoments and jot them down so that you can remember them when it comes time to write your next newsletter, post, or record your podcast. To help, I’m gifting you my Story Stockpile template.

Normally this is only available inside my Storytelling Marketing course (which, for now, is only available inside the Content Club) but I’m giving it to you free to help you organize that swirl of ideas.

Download your copy and put it within reach on your phone to capture those micromoments when they happen so you always have a wealth of ideas waiting for you when it comes time to write.

A Content Database

This content database comes from Tina Lopez, who just so happens to have a fun membership for content creators called the Content Creators Club. This is similar to, but not the same as, my Content Club. The similar names were a happy accident because they complement each other with ways for finding opportunities to grow your list, such as bundles and newsletter swaps, and knowing what to send that list as it’s growing.

Want to know what a newsletter swap looks like? We’re doing one right now! I share her freebies, and she’s sharing one of mine on her list. If you want more freebies like this, join her Content Creators Club using this link, and I’ll send you a coupon for 25% off my Content Club!

Since we’re writing about systems, I knew I had to share her free airtable template for a content database. Snag it here to put all of your various types of content into one place and organize it so you can see all the assets you have at your disposal when planning your social posts and future ideas.

Links + Bios

Ever notice how someone always asks for your bio at the most inconvenient time? Okay that might not be a daily hurdle, but I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had someone request my bio for a podcast episode recording or my swipe copy for a freebie swap and I had to go hunting.

That was, until I created this organizational tool I call Links + Bios.

The Links and Bios base has columns to house my:

  • Brand Assets (bios, swipe copy, logos, headshots, etc)

  • Links to media mentions

  • Testimonials

  • Affiliate links

Mine is in an Airtable base, but you could easily create this in a Google Drive folder or spreadsheet. If you haven’t created a space like this for your business yet, do your 2025 self a favor and put it together now.

The Content Club

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the space that has made content creation faster, easier, and way stickier for readers if I didn’t share my Content Club with you.

Inside the Content Club, you get:

  • Weekly templates to know which stories to pull from your story stockpile (plus detailed instruction on how to build it) and what to send your list

  • Monthly sprints — next week we’re kicking off an outbound sprint that will absolutely help you grow your list

  • Quarterly content strategy planning sessions — our next one is in January!

PLUS, you get access to my 5I framework, Storytelling Marketing course, and journal prompts to help you find your voice.

While this isn’t another freebie on my list, it is worth EVERY penny!

Because your time is worth every penny and so much more.

This is your one wild life you’re building, and you deserve to squeeze the most out of it that you can without losing your elf-loving mind.
