Happy baking, wrapping, planning, list-making, packing, singing, shopping, keeping your head above the water so you can enjoy the Holidays!
I’m writing this to you as I’m finally nearing the end of my insane to-do list. I’m not sure if this year’s to-do list felt extra lengthy because we took our kids out of public school and started homeschooling in December this year, but phew! I’m ready to slow down.
But I couldn’t fully slow down without saying a massive thank you for being part of this unique space I’m building for you, the freedom-focused entrepreneur who’s ready to design a life you’ll look back on with love.
I’ve had some people reach out and ask what freedom-focused really means. Here’s what I’ve come up with:
Freedom to design your life (chaos included)
Freedom to share your ideas and make a little money by doing so
Freedom to unapologetically lean into the talents God gave you
Freedom to homeschool your kids without much sacrifice if you want
Freedom to pursue new hobbies like bread baking (my current fave), rock climbing (another growing fave), jewelry making, puzzle building, painting-by-number, book clubbing, or whatever else catches your eye
Freedom to travel to new places
Freedom to say yes
(And maybe best of all) freedom to say NO without guilt

In case you’re new here, I’m Kimberly Crossland, a freshly minted homeschooling mom, passionate RVer, and creator of stories. I’m also a story strategist, writer, bestselling author, and above all else, proud mom to two wild boys.
In this space, my goal is to grow a community of curious, passionate, enthusiastic individuals. And I feel I’ve kickstarted that well by writing to you about achieving freedom through the art of writing and connecting with others through a glass rectangle.
These are the top stories + advice columns I’ve written this year:

I’m also doing that over here with my newest column, launched in November, called Steadfast + Steady (and wow, I love how the Holy Spirit works through me when writing these weekly devotionals).
And for those who wanted to go deeper, I continued peeling back these layers inside the Content Club by giving you the prompts, sprints, and strategy planning you needed to learn how to pursue your own freedom-filled venture with ease and boundaries through writing weekly emails to your list. If you decide to join before the end of the year, it’s only $7 to kick the tires and see if this community is right for you.
But before you go down those rabbit holes, I wanted to leave you with something a good friend sent me today. Psychology says that if you’re resting but also guilting yourself for not being productive enough, you’re not really resting. As someone notoriously up every morning between 3 and 4 a.m. (by choice, not alarm clock), I need to remember how to relax, sleep, and recover guilt-free this holiday season — and that’s what I’m off to do.
I hope you achieve the same because you and I have big things coming in 2025.
Let’s rest our bones as we prepare for all the goodness and growth ahead.
