It’s the Fourth of July here in America! 💥

I’ll soon be soaking it all in with you, from watching the hot dog eating contest today with friends to setting off a few of our fireworks this evening (our neighborhood goes crazy with ‘em)! Here’s a throwback from one informal show we watched in our backyard.

Here’s to hot dogs, history, and having fun embracing the beauty of freedom!

Today’s theme is FREEDOM, so in honor of that, let’s celebrate a few of the freedoms we have as homeschoolers.

Freedom to choose when to start school (I’m debating this right now).

Freedom to choose what to share in our homeschool.

Freedom to choose a co-op.

Freedom to choose the life skills learned.

Freedom to choose the values instilled.

Freedom to get up and move when needed.

Freedom to PEE when needed.

Freedom to prioritize family.

Freedom to prioritize faith.

Freedom to give our kids the BEST childhood possible.

Freedom to work how we want.

Freedom to work when we want.

Freedom to travel when we want.

Freedom to embrace boredom.

Freedom to go all in on a trade craft.

Freedom to design a life that doesn’t require you to take on the weight of the world.

Make your own ice cream today (and bonus: turn it into a sneaky science experiment). Here’s a great recipe to try!

I just got the ingredients to make this appetizer as an afternoon snack between pool time and evening play time. Doesn’t it look delicious?

This is the second lightest week of the year in business. The week between Christmas and New Year’s is first.

So, let’s keep this light today with a simple poll: Do you work while you homeschool?

I saw this guide to Farm School Homeschool Programs and thought it looked really fun!

Speaking of farming and homeschooling, I am heading to a conference July 18 and 19 and will be sharing all of the takeaways live on my Instagram stories. If you haven’t yet, come follow and learn alongside me at this convention!

P.S. Do you manage a co-op, formal or informal? If you bring in 5 moms, you all get a 50% discount inside the Homeschool Flow.
