As you read this, I’m on a plane to Hershey, PA, where I’ll be hosting not one but two keynote talks and a live podcast recording for the RV Entrepreneur. If you’re in the area tomorrow, September 12, head to Englewood at 9 a.m. and grab a last-minute ticket to join us!
One of the keynotes will share how to design a business around your values and lifestyle — not trying to stuff a misaligned idea into your world.
It’s a topic I’m passionate about because I’ve seen it work repeatedly.
More specifically, I saw a simple infusion of values and empathy generate 400% growth for a client in less than three months — a flex I’m pretty proud of. ;)

The conversation about how to grow unfolded over lunch at a local restaurant. This particular entrepreneur had just bought a business and wanted to redefine how he reached his audience.
He had a lot of life to breathe back into those lungs, so he hired me to take an in-depth look at his content strategy, find his voice, create a fresh approach, and build out the content that would get attention.
The end result: His business grew 400% in less than three months (and he installed a pool in his backyard to celebrate).
Better yet, he’s continued to grow consistently year over year because of one core element we injected into his strategy: personal values.
Let me break down for you what our conversations looked like behind the scenes to get to this point:
He brought me on to go elbow-deep into his business — his why, his values as an entrepreneur, his desire for a more freedom-filled life, his model, his customers, his audience, and of course, his content (yep, content strategy is SO MUCH MORE than slapping some words on the screen.
We changed up the words on the screen so they fit what he wanted for his business and his community of people
He let me refine his copy on his pages
He let me define an email marketing strategy
He sent the emails, cut his social media time in half, and…
He grew 400% in 3 months
Now, here’s the catch — his business wasn’t fancy, revolutionary, or something you’d think needed a lot of pizzaz, advertising, or exhausting content production. This worked so well for him because his business wasn’t interesting.
This particular company was a run-of-the-mill company that people often price shop for when deciding who to buy from.
But he knew he didn’t want to compete on price. He wanted to compete on values, with content that spotlighted those values—and that made all the difference.
If you want to get these same results, there are a few ways we can work together:
Done-With-You: Join me inside the Content Creation Lab, where you’ll get a high-level framework for how content strategy is built and weekly frameworks for what to send your list to capture this kind of attention. PLUS, we meet once a month on Zoom, during which you have an hour to ask me your content strategy questions.
Done-For-You: Let’s work together in a 1:1 setting to unpack where you are now and the opportunities in front of you. Browse the various ways I work with clients and pick which one best fits your brand’s needs, or hit reply and let me know where you are right now so I can help guide you to the package that will give you the biggest bang for your buck (because I’m all about helping value-driven entrepreneurs make serious cash).
