Welcome to Feature Friday, where I’ll introduce you every week to a Roadpreneur building a business that lets them explore more often. Through these stories, you’ll gain sparks of inspiration that can be woven into your journey.
Poke around on social media, and you’ll see lots of familiar places. So often, the areas that fill our newsfeed are popular tourist destinations and campgrounds, but what about all the beauty off the beaten path? That’s what this week’s guests, Christine and Kevin Skelton from Never Stop Adventuring, aim to help others find.
But it’s not just destinations that this duo shares. It’s practical advice for anyone wanting to live a life of adventure.
I love how this family has blended their desire to travel with their business, giving themselves and their children the best of both worlds! I know you’ll love reading about their adventures, too. Meet Christine and Kevin.

What is your name and what do you do?
We are Christine and Kevin Skelton. We run Never Stop Adventuring, our family travel content creation business. It is a comprehensive resource dedicated to inspiring and assisting families in creating unforgettable travel experiences. We are passionate about family travel, whether it's exploring the beautiful landscapes of the US in our RV or venturing to international destinations.
Our mission is to empower families to embark on their big and small adventures by providing valuable insights, practical tips, and stories from our journeys through long-form videos, comprehensive destination guides, how-to’s, transparent cost breakdowns, and insights into the lifestyle.
How do you seek adventure on the open road?
When traveling around the US in our RV, we like to seek out a mix of outdoor destinations like national and state parks and sightseeing in new cities. We have young children, so we look for fun and scenic hikes but not too long or challenging. Sightseeing is usually a mix of popular tourist destinations and off-the-beaten-path locations, zoos and museums at times, and a healthy dose of playgrounds and ice cream shops! It’s our goal to visit all 50 states, and we’re making great progress!
We’ve also started traveling internationally, and we generally take a slow travel approach, spending a month or more in a certain country or region. This gives us a more immersive travel experience, thoroughly exploring an area while leaving enough time for day-to-day life and homeschooling with kids. We’re hoping to travel internationally to new countries for a while each year moving forward.
What inspired you to start this business?
Our move from the corporate world to entrepreneurship was driven by a desire for autonomy and a search for fulfillment. Having started traveling the US full-time in our RV while working remotely, we turned our love of family travel into a business to guide fellow families on their extraordinary adventures.
It has blessed our family beyond measure, and we wanted to share and help others discover the same transformative and enriching experience. By sharing our adventures, tips, and insights, we want every family to be confident in their own unique journeys and create cherished memories.
What do you like most about your business?
Being able to combine what we love for work and pleasure has been the best. Living this lifestyle with our family and sharing it with others through our business platform has been a joy. It's not just a job; it's a lifestyle that we wholeheartedly embrace as a family and has given us additional purpose that is extremely gratifying.
What’s going through your audience’s mind when they ask you for help?
Our audience is looking for information on where to travel as a family and tips on how to do it. When someone is planning a trip and adding our recommended destinations to their itineraries or using our tips and tricks to make their experience more accessible, those are things we love to hear. We hope that our audience sees us as knowledgeable and trustworthy and that the genuine and approachable side of our family's adventures resonates with our audience.
How have you designed your business to run while you roam?
We've intentionally combined our love for exploration and content creation, ensuring they complement each other. A key component lies in choosing destinations that interest our family and speak to the wider audience we aim to connect with. We've embraced the freedom of remote work, allowing us to run our operations from anywhere globally. We've created a lifestyle where our adventures are the basis for relatable and engaging content. This way, as we roam from one exciting place to another, our business thrives, bringing the joy of family travel to others.
What challenges have you faced by running a business from the road?
Over the years, we’ve worked through challenges such as internet connectivity, physical workspace in RVs and rental homes, and other logistics while traveling. But currently, our biggest struggle continues to be time. We have to balance work commitments and quality family time intentionally. Since we’re together every day, striking the right balance is a daily task and takes good communication and teamwork. We also make sure we can slow down our travel in between to give us more time to focus on both work and family.
If you had to start over again, what would you do differently?
If we could go back, we would absolutely start our family travel content creation sooner. I can't help but think about the incredible moments we might have captured if we had started earlier. It would have given us more opportunities to create and share additional resources that would have benefited others and given us even more time to hone and improve our craft.
We were hesitant to start until we had learned enough about creating content, filming, and video editing, and getting things just right. Of course, we discovered that perfect timing doesn’t exist, so we’d worry less about that if we were to start over. Just getting going by taking some first steps and improving is the way to go!
What’s the biggest compliment you’ve ever received?
We love hearing that the information we share has helped someone. Anytime we get that kind of feedback, we’re excited. It’s been especially fulfilling when someone returns from a trip and lets us know how something we recommended was a wonderful experience for them. It’s a great feeling to know we played a part in inspiring them and the new memories they’ve made.
What are you getting excited about right now?
We’re anticipating our second season of international family travel. We’re trying something new by taking a transatlantic cruise to Europe rather than flying to see how we like it (and maybe avoid jetlag by taking a more gradual time-change approach!). From there we’ll explore Spain, Germany, and the UK over several months in a slow-travel approach.
We’re excited about all the things we’ll experience as a family, which we can then share in detailed guides, YouTube videos, and social media.
Where can we connect with you?
